Pepperdine University Graziadio Business School and Dignity Health Global Education (DHGE) announced today they have formed a partnership to offer online professional certificate courses for healthcare workers. Initial courses will focus on healthcare analytics/informatics and healthcare marketing to provide training and education designed to improve workforce development, quality, and, ultimately, patient outcomes.
The agreement combines Pepperdine Graziadio’s experience in creating applied learning and DHGE’s access to data, informatics, and lifelike scenarios. Courses will be co-designed by Pepperdine faculty, practitioners, and industry thought leaders and offered to healthcare professionals who desire to learn the latest healthcare-oriented theories, principles and tools in a convenient, innovative online setting.
“Pepperdine Graziadio will apply deep experience creating analytics courses, particularly in an online setting, that ensure students receive an individualized, relevant, industry-led experience,” said Mark Chun, PhD, department chair of decision sciences‚ information systems‚ and strategy for Pepperdine Graziadio Business School.
Development of the healthcare analytics/informatics certificates will be led by Pepperdine Graziadio faculty member Samuel Seaman, PhD, professor of decision sciences and the healthcare marketing certificates will be led by Lynda Palmer, MBA, practitioner faculty of marketing.
